FCNB Election 2010 Results

The Filipino CommUNITY of New Brunswick (FCNB) Election Committee announces the official results of the recent election which was held May 15, 2010 at the Morning Gate Church in Fredericton. The following were elected:

President: Rollan Moreno
Vice-President: Arthur Jaucian
Secretary: Amalia Gaspar
Treasurer: Heidi Abad
Auditor: Rodolfo Dimayacyac

Potluck victory celebration followed after the announcement of the newly elected officer. Short speeches from the elected core group officer were rendered.   Their first agenda to work on was the creation of the following committees to oversee the activities of the commUNITY:



 The Board Members shall ensure that policies and procedures of the By-Laws are followed. The Board Members shall also provide advice and guidance to the officers of THE CommUNITY as required. Board Members at least three (3) shall be appointed by the President with the approval of the core group.



The membership committee shall be responsible for the recruitment and retention of members, including notification of members by email or phone of upcoming events.


The social committee shall be responsible for coordinating the activities related to all social functions of THE COMMUNITY. The committee shall be responsible for coordinating the food and food assignments of the members that relates to social functions/events of THE CommUNITY.


The fundraising committee shall be responsible for initiating activities for outrech and raising funds for THE COMMUNITY.


The editorial committee shall be responsible for the management and publication of THE
CommUNITY articles on pinoys.org, official website of THE CommUNITY, and any other
organization correspondences.

FredKid Cultural Performance

Our CommUNITY will be performing at the 4th Annual fredkid fair on Saturaday, May 8th at the Fredericton Exhibition Center. The Kids Tinikling, Fast Tinikling and Paypay de Manila are the CommUNITY entries to the event starting at 1:15 - 1:45. We will also teaching the kids to dance tinikling during this time.


So, come out and support the Fredkid and our cultural performers.

New Year's Celebration

The CommUNITY is invited to our Annual New Years celebration at Jean and Nancy Gariepy's residence located at 444 Canada Street, Fredericton New Brunswick. This will be a night of food, friends, pictures, karaoke, fireworks and special celebration with the CommUNITY.
