Need Caregivers?

The Filipino caregiver could be one of the best caregivers whom you could hire to take care of your children, elderly and persons with disabilities since they are trained for the job. They are well known as a kind heart people, warm people and most of all sensitive and easy to adapt in all ways of life style.

We have members of our CommUNITY that are presently here in New Brunswick that are looking for employers.

Disaster Relief for Victims of Typhoon Haiyan
Written by Administrator

 November 13, 2013

The death toll is estimated to reach 10,000 people and more than 600,000 have been reportedly displaced by the Typhoon Haiyan (local name Yolanda). This is one of the strongest typhoons ever recorded that crossed the Philippines on November 8. The humanitarian organizations say it will take months, if not years, to recover in the worst hit areas — where over 80% of the houses were destroyed.

 Fundraising Initiative

The Filipino-Canadian CommUNITY of NB (FCNB) is reaching out to you and your organization for continuous prayers and support for the victims of the calamity. We had approached the Canadian Red Cross as channel for collecting financial donations. Please drop in to Multicultural Association of Fredericton (MCAF) offices at 123 York St. or 28 Saunders St. Fredericton. You can also contact us at (506) 470-7203 / 471-6380 or send us your donations by mail at 40 Case St., Fredericton NB E3B 7E2. The Canadian Government is matching all eligible donations until Dec. 9 and taxable receipt is available for donations of $20.00 or more.

“Filipinos around the world are devastated and victims of typhoon are in need of lifesaving essentials and emergency supplies like: food, blankets, household supplies, hygiene kits, shelter and clean drinking water”, said Roland Moreno, founding president of FCNB. “…asking everyone to give whatever they can.”

Please be informed that all financial donations you make will have a synergistic and positive impact to all of the humanitarian efforts in this regard. Thank you and we look forward to whatever support you can provide.
