PRESS RELEASE: 2nd Annual Filipino Cultural Gala - “Let’s Explore the Philippines Today and Tomorrow”


Fredericton, NB - The Filipino-Canadian CommUNITY of NB (FCNB) Inc. is hosting the 2nd Annual Filipino Cultural Gala “Let’s Explore the Philippines Today and Tomorrow on June 10th from 6:30PM to 8:30PM, at the Fredericton Playhouse. It will showcase different aspects of the Filipino culture through fashion, storytelling, dance (traditional and contemporary) and music. The general public will have the opportunity to enjoy and learn about the Philippines, specifically the style of Filipino-Canadian performing arts. The performance will take the audience on a journey through different eras of Filipino history. The audience will have the unique experience of discovering the individual island cultures and the joyful spirit of Filipinos.

The 2nd Annual Filipino Cultural GALA is geared towards strengthening the local community artistically, culturally and economically through an annual night of lively cultural performances. This event aims to gain wider community support for the large immigrant population of Fredericton and to create an opportunity for involvement and social integration of newcomers.
