Need Caregivers?

The Filipino caregiver could be one of the best caregivers whom you could hire to take care of your children, elderly and persons with disabilities since they are trained for the job. They are well known as a kind heart people, warm people and most of all sensitive and easy to adapt in all ways of life style.

We have members of our CommUNITY that are presently here in New Brunswick that are looking for employers.

Kabayan,

The Filipino CommUNITY of New Brunswick (FCNB) once again invites you to our 5th Annual CommUNITY Family Fun Day on Saturday, August 6th from 2:00 - 7:00 PM at the Potato Research Center Picnic area on Lincoln Road, Fredericton. Refer below for directions to guide you to the area.

This is an annual event demonstrating the importance of family activities, celebrating the accomplishment of the CommUNITY and providing an opportunity to meet and greet everyone.

We will be roasting and providing the "lechon" (Filipino pig roast) on site and the cost will be provided from our fund in appreciation for everyone?s continued commitment to the CommUNITY activities this year. This is a potluck picnic and we are encouraging everybody to bring a special dish, dessert and non-alcoholic beverages to share with everyone. We are preparing games and water activities (slip 'n slide) for all, so bring sun screen lotion and extra clothes (bathing suits, towel, etc.) and share a family fun day with us.

Donation Relief for Sendong Victims

Kababayan,

By now you should have heard about the Sendong storm (international name: Washi); a devastating flood that wiped out the entire costal community of Cagayan de Oro and Iligan City. Today, the Philippine National Red Cross has estimated that the death toll stands at 713 dead and 911 people are listed as missing and some 47,000 people are huddled in evacuation centres.

We the CommUNITY council are mourning the losses of our loved ones and kababayan in affected areas. At this time, I would like to be notified by those CommUNITY members whom relatives/friends are directly affected by this tragedy.

The Outreach and Fundraising commitee will be collecting financial donations from our CommUNITY members and will contact other ethno-cultural groups in New Brunswick for assistance. Please contact Rudy (Choy) Dimayacyac at (506) 260-9288 or Roland Moreno at (506) 470-7203 for your donations. We will contact the Philippine National Red Cross or and other established non profit organizations to make arrangement for this donations.

Salamat,
Roland Moreno, President
